Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Poured a cloudy light amber with a thin white head. The aroma is grassy and floral... typical Cascade. The flavour is dry, spicy and a little fruity. It really is a tremendous and very tasty pale ale... one of the best!

500ml bottle from Cheese & Wine shop Darlington. Poured a clear orangey golden amber colour, foam white head leaving alittle lacing and a delicious sweet pineapple tropical fruit citrus hop aroma. Tangy bitterness, biscuit, caramel, fruity resin hop flavour with citrus grapefruit, pine, woody and earthy notes. Light to medium body and carbonation, lingering bitter finish. Nice pale ale.

500 ml bottle bought @ beermerchants.com. Pours hazy golden with a small frothy offwhite head head that quickly dissipates while leaving lots of trace on the glass. Smell is tiny sweet, fruity and extremely hoppy fresh with grapefruit juice, citrus perfumed soap, pine, lemon zest, crackers, moist clover field, wood, passion fruit and unripe pineapple. Taste is very tiny sweet, bitter, slightly fruity and hoppy fresh with grapefruit juice, pine, passion fruit, pineapple, crackers, orange peal, lemon zest, gooseberries, red currants, moist wood and freshly cut grass. Mouthfeel is crisp, round, tiny watery and light to medium bodied. Finish is bitter with crackers, pine, resinous wood, grapefruit rinds, bergamot and moist wood. Great stuff! Especially the smell.

Bottle from The Bottle Shop Canterbury. 5.2% version from August 2012. Slight haze on orange gold colour and thick beige head. Tangerine fruit aroma. Yep, that’s Cascades tangerine and earthiness. Good aroma, good in mouth, good finish (some bitterness). Just absolutely wonderful. A classic Cascade pale ale. Just the best. Nice one Kernel. I’ve been trying to do something like this at home and just can’t. Love this beer.

Bottle at the Kernel Brewery. It pours hazy orange, with a foamy yellow-white head. The nose is juicy orange, mango, sweaty sock, pine and sherbet. The taste is orange, mango, tangerine, tangy marmalade, sherbet, resin, pine and leaf, with a long bitter finish. Medium body and fine-moderate carbonation. Lots of juicy fruit, well balanced and down right delicious. A great APA.
