Nagy, nagyon tartós hab, sötétbarna szín. Nem túl intenzív malátás illat. Intenzív pörkölt malátás ízvilág, némi fűszerességgel. Az alkoholt egyáltalán nem érezni, kiválóan elrejtették. Utóíze a korty folytatása, ami sokáig kitart. Testes, nehéz sör.

330ml bottle from Saveur Biére - Dull flat orangey brown body, not much in the way of a head. Nose is barleysugar sweets, a bit of freshly made caramel, brown sugar and a background of dustiness. Taste is sweet, a little sticky, dry at the end, bit of a boozy burn but not too harsh. Very nice, but a bit ugly.

Bottle. Fresh and crisp, but still sweet, quit unusual for a barley wine. The ABV is only noticeable in the sweetness. Some candy, bubblegum.

Amber color with beige head. Aroma is candied sugar and some flowery aromas. Taste is more candied sugar, some plums, a little bit thin for a Barley Wine. But very easy drinking and a nice taste. Just not very complex.

bottle - Pours dark burgundy colored with a large, light tan head. It smells of malt, toffee, and dark fruit. The flavor is very sweet with caramel, dark fruit, and then alcohol that’s mostly buried under sugary sweetness. It’s fairly good but a little too sweet for me.

Ruby to brown color, with a thin offwhite head. Malty aroma. Sweet. A bit too sweet.

33cl bottle from the liquor store. Dark copper/caramel pour, with a fine tan head that gives way to a thin lacing. Smells a bit funky, with notes of caramel and a bit of coffee but mostly saison-style barnyard funkiness, pickles, black olives, stuff like that. The taste is bittersweet and has a metallic feel, alongiside notes of dried fruit, caramel and spices. An interesting beer, but a bit all over the place.

Bottle from Damian. Rich malty aroma, grapes, raisins, dried fruits. Burnt sugar, light chocolate. Dark brown colour and a stable off-white head. Taste does the aroma justice. Sweetish fruity beginning slowly turning into a dry chocolatey slightly roasted finish. Toasted, burnt sugar. Very good.
