Draft: Banana, tripel sec, lemongrass, lemon zest. Clear amber, medium head, good lace. Lemongrass flavor with whole orange undercurrent. Funky hints. Overripe lemon finish. Outstanding, but a little boozy.

33 cl. bottle @ Bier Central // about time I ticked this one // opaque orange with a small but stable white head // nose is full of either BE or BE style hops, works here but this kinds of hops don’t always lend themselves to hoppy beers like this, rather floral, BE esters, yeasty with a touch of grass // taste is bitter BE esters and lots of BE hops, grass, nicely little fruity touch, dash punch, white bread yeast, sweetish touch in the back. flowers and lingering grass in the finish // nice full white bread yeast body // another nice BE IPA, it is brewed in NL but this BE all t he way that is classified as a Belgian Strong Ale only because it is a belgian beer

Bottle at Cambrinus, Brugge - 08/07/12. Pours a hazy yellow-gold with a big finger of white head. Sweetish nose with caramel, honey, yeast and a little herb/spice to finish. Tastes as nose with hops coming through. Medium body and carbonation with a crisp bitter finish.

Smells like bubble gum, hops and some sugary sweetness. Pours with lots of good lacing. Taste has soft kind of bitterness. There’s bitterness and floral hops in there. This gets away from the American IPA style nicely, filling up the straight bitterness with some different notes. On tap at WVRST.

Brown 33cl bottle, best before 09-2010, drank 02-2010. Poured slowly but with some sediment getting out, into a ’Corsendonk’ stemmed tulip glass. Slight hazy appearance due to the sediment getting into the glass, good golden rich yellow/orange colour, large, pure snow white foaming head on top. Hops and oak sawdust in the smell, Belgian yeasts also in the mix, the alcohol content is only smellable as the beer warms. Hops dominate the taste, as you’d expect, but the alcohol plays its part, along with semi-fizzy (well carbonated?) yeast/spiced/flowery combination of flavours. Very drinkable for such a strong beer, well blended, you’d never guess it was 9.%% ABV in the mouthfeel, that is until the beer begins to warm in the glass, it then become very pronounced.

Bright blond colour. Very light on aroma from the big head. Flavour is a bit grassy. Has a light bitterness but not a pronounced hop feel Quite a balanced easy to drink beer considering the strength.

Picked this up at State Line Liquors in Delaware. Paid under $5 for it. A - 2 Finger head that was crystal clear. The beer was light yellow with a ton of cloudiness S - Pine, hops, honey and oranges T - Tons of piney notes, honey, syrup and cinnamon. M - HUGE bubbles in this beer. Goes down easily. O - I think this beer was past its prime. I picked up the cheese notes when smelling it which is a sign the hops are just gone completely. It still had some pine but overall, this would have been fantastic had it been fresh.

33cl bottle. Golden beer with a good formation of white head, due to its high initial carbonation. Aroma is fresh, hoppy and floral. Flavour is bittery with a moderate duration and with a final also moderate bittery. Fruity and floral hints. Carbonation is medium. Body is medium.
