Bottle from beernavigator. Pours golden and clear with a big white head. Typical belgian yeasty aroma with spices and esters but not any hops. Spicy aroma that is typical for a blond belgian strong ale. Sweetish and warming but the alcohol comes thru a bit to much. But the bitterness is definately higher which I like, it brings a bit of balance the this brew that is a bit to strong for my liking.

75 cl bottle @ home. Rated on 24.10.2009
Aroma has lots of grassy Belgian hops. Also some citrus and Belgian yeast. Flavour is rather high on Belgian hops, grassy notes, some herbs, citrus and yeasty notes. These overhopped belgians are usually not for me, but this one wasn’t that bad.

Pours amber with a lasting head.Nose shows lots of spicy and herbal hops along with typical Belgian phenols, light malt and doughy yeasty notes. In the way of flavours there’s more of the same hops and phenolic notes along with some confectionery-like sweetness and a fair whack of booze.Much too highly carbonated.

Bottle, 7C. Clear gold with a large white head that collapses to a rocky coat and laces well. Aroma of oranges, dough, sugar, cloves, white pepper. Sweet with oranges and apricots, hay, candi sugar (all very Tripelish) lots of bitterness, punchy spices. Creamy mouthfeel, quite carbonated. A little astringent. Not very boozy for 9.5%. Exuberant.

Bottle - Yeasty and some aromatic hops, but the yeast does dominate. Clear gold with a foamy huge head. Sweet, with the yeast again dominating the palate. The hops are there but in the background and only the mildest of bitterness. A bit boozy on the finish.

Tap at Trion. Funky Belgian yeast, briny hops, and biscuity malt aroma. Clear golden with a moderate white head, nice lacing. Musty Belgian yeast, sweet bready malt, herbal/spicy hops, and alcohol flavor. Medium full body.

330ml bottle. Slightly cloudy golden colour with huge, frothy, lasting, lacing, white head. Fruity aroma has notes of green grapes, green apple, honey melon, some yeast; a touch of bubblegum as overall impression. Taste is minimally sweet fruity, honey melon again, spicy, peppery undertones, also an increasing bitter hop note.
