A one-off brew with a variety of malts to get to a higher density after boiling. Candied sugar was also added during the brewing process. Except for the low wheat percentage, the process of this beer followed the traditional lambic tradition.

Corked bottle, that opens gently. Amber color, cloudy. Vinous caramelly aroma with leather, citrus and oak. Sour, bretty flavor with oak, lemon, cherry notes. A considerable dry out effect. Moderate sweetness. Very well balanced, fairly complex lambic with an oaky aftertaste.

Bottle shared @La Tana (Rome). Ambrata carica/brunastra, schiuma avorio-panna media, molto persistente. Al naso sentori di zucchero di canna, marzapane, frutta secca, leggera nota vinosa. In bocca è dolce all'attacco con finale acido contenuto. Corpo medio-pieno, carbonazione media. Molto buona.

Taster, vintage 2008. Pours unclear flat brown. Aroma is nuts, honey, caramel, wet hops. Body is medium, quite sour but not tart at all, flat, reminiscent of sweetness, but not really there anymore. More nuts and caramel and honey. Good!

Taster, big thanks to Werckmeister!
Deep red, brownish, hazy body, with almost no head.
Aroma of dried fruits, dark bread, candy sugar, leather, red apples, some toffee, moderate barnyard.
Tastes quite similar, with a bit more barnyard funk, some citrus, some oak.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with a low carbonation.
Finishes medium dry, wooden, moderate funky, a bit sweet, a bit leathery, with dried fruits, apples.
Very nice. Reminds me a bit of an Oud Bruin, especially the nose, while the taste has a bit more of the typical Lambic funk. Complex, while not heavy for the ABV. Not my favourite Faro, which is from Oud Beersel, but surely among the best.

Bottle, huge thanks to werckmeister! Pours copper. Aroma is sour, vinegar, sweetness, caramel. Flavor is sour, berries, plums, vinegar, some sweetness, some dryness. Overall: very good.

0,75l bottle at home from trade with Erzengel, big thanks. brown color, no head. smells light vinegar, very dusty, wood, citric, earthy, some berry notes, nutty, marzipan, dusty notes are a bit distracting, but apart from that very nice smell. full body, no carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes dusty, citric, earthy, berry notes, some wood, bit lactic, spices, peppery, light vinegar, some marzipan. finishes dry and lightly sour with notes of berry notes, wood and some peppery notes. very surprised this is still this good. very nice one, great balance, very smooth to drink. 8, 4, 8, 4, 16

Bottle, many thanks for sharing to Werckmeister! Rather clear deep amber color with no head. Aroma is candied sugar, berries, fruity, light funk, a bit sherry. Taste is the same, not too oxidized, nice tartness, lots of caramel and candied sugar, but not too sweet either. Oily mouthfeel, almost flat. Works!

Bottle shared at the Crooked Stave tasting at Beerlovers Bar, Antwerp. Thank you very much kraddel for bringing this!! Light hazy dark amber copper color with off white to beige head. Malty and light yeasty aroma, caramel, bread, honey notes, light dark and citrus fruits, some funky notes. Sweet and acidic taste. Medium oily body with soft to flat carbonation.
