Bottle at 6e Noordelijk Kerst- en Winterbierenfestival, Hoogeveen. Aroma is slightly roasted malt, some coffee, subtle smoke, rich dark fruits. Flavour is medium sweet. Body is just above medium. More of a Smoked Quadrupel than a Smoked Impie Stout. Enjoyable.

Fles gedeelt met Roelzie1986. Het is een diep donkerbruin bier met een beige schuim. Het heeft een gebrande moutige geur met tonen van gedroogd fruit. De smaak is zacht, zoet en rokerig.

Bottle. Deep dark brown color, Almost black. Malt, caramel, roast and a hint of beechwood smoke in the aroma. Malty sweet with roast and caramel, dried fruit and beechwood. Hint of fat sausage. Fairly Low on carbon. A pleasant surprise.

[ As Wildervanker Smoked Imperial Stout ].Clear dark red brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, chocolate, moderate yeasty, dark fruit, raisin, date. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average to long duration, sweet malt, dark fruit, candy, fruity yeast, chocolate - roasted, smoked, peat notes. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcohol - phenol. [20171118] 7-47-3-14

Bottle @ Home. Pours black with a brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, licorice, little smoke, light dried fruit. Flavor is sweet, light bitter, roast malt, caramel, smoked, licorice, dried fruit, light alcohol. Medium to full body, soft carbonation, light oily mouthfeel, sweet and light smoked finish. 191117

Bottle @ Højbjerg tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is dark brown. Aroma and taste are roast malt, chocolate, smoke, peat and hops. Full bodied.

33 cL bottle. Pours hazy dark brown to black. Small tan head.Aroma is smoked and dark malty. Sweet malt. Smoked. Dark malty. Lingering roasted malt and smoked. Bitter and toasted malt finish.
