Bottle. Golden colour, white foam. Fruity aroma with notes of caramel. A bit grassy. Medium sweet with light bitter finish. Not very well balanced.

Classic Limburgian beer, not an ale in spite of its name, but a kind of ’luxe’ version of Pax Pils - and now a protected regional product, as I read in the newspapers a few years ago. Snow white head over a deep golden blonde, clear beer; bubbly, with pale malts dominating aroma and taste, sweetish and a bit metallic with grassy bitterish hops in the finish. I will always defend the old school Belgian beers which may lack complexity compared with many modern craft brews but which have contributed to beer diversity in our country - and to me, this one belongs to that old generation. No great gastronomical ambitions, simple and modest decency is the keyword here and I’d recommend this over most Belgian pale lagers anytime.

Clear pale golden colour, nice frothy white head, lasts a while, good lacing. Hoppy nose, grains, bread, grass and floral hops, citrus. Mild sweet taste, slightly bitter. Light to medium body, texture is a bit watery, average carbonation, crisp light sweetbitter finish, solid pilsner.

horeca 13 pours very clear, golden . small white head no sign of carbo in the looks of the beer dry malty smell taste has grains, bit hops , bit bitter, but mostly dry malts. like an intencer version of pax pils, wich i also thought was good . i do not understand the low ratings on this one . its def one of the best lagers i’ve had , and i’m also thinkin it was one of the best new beers i tried at horeca expo in 2013 if you want a pils, and this is within your choice, than i’d recommend to take this one .

I heard some people saying this was a good beer, but to me it’s just decent. Nothing wrong with it, but nothing spectacular either.

Bottle. A clear, almost golden beer topped by a small, white head. Corn-chips and fruits in the aroma and flavor. There’s also a sweet fruityness and some dusty cellar in the flavor. Medium body. Some bitterness shows up in the end. Super-boring but drinkable. 091223
