Ops-Ale, or our legendary luxury lager! A deliciously hoppy and sunny golden yellow lager that guarantees an extraordinarily intimate taste intermezzo. Our Ops-Ale has long been a family specialty. Brewed with water from our own soil, with the same hops and yeast all these years. The result: a refreshing bottom fermentation thirst quencher with a top tradition. Ops-Ale was first brewed between 1937 and 1940.

Bottle: Straw coloured, lively carbonation, creamy white head; some sourish vegetables in the herbal-grainy nose; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, combined with a light acidity; light grainy-sourish finish, followed by a little tartness. Yawn...............

(25cl bottle) Clear, pale golden colour with a thick and slowly lacing foamy white head. Light-sweet and sour doughy malty nose with faint grainy and grassy, slightly metallic hoppy notes. Light-bitter flavour, rather light bodied with a moderate carbonation. Soft pale malt character, slightly waxy taste with shy hints of grainy notes and grassy hoppy notes, accompanied by a nasty touch of metal. Better rely on Lagers from Bohemia, Austria or the south of Germany (24.II.09).
