330 ml bottle, batch #891, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 8.0%. Pitch black colour, moderate tan head. Aroma of roast malts, coffee, cocoa and chili. The flavour is mid between dry and sweet, again roast malts, coffee and cocoa, with a distinct but pleasant burn from the chipotle and habanero chilies, lasting through the long aftertaste.

Bottled 500ml (Vinmonopolet)
Opaque colour, small brownish head. Strong chocolate cordial aroma with some roastyness. Medium-bodied. Roastyness, chocolate and then chilli tickling in the finish. Even some sweet licorice. Chilli is quite nice here with sweetness.

Draught at Brewskival, Sat Aug 26, 2017.Hazy dark brown to black color, fizzy light brown head. Roasted, alcohol scent. Malty, sweet taste. Roasted aftertaste. Medium and fizzy growing mouthfeel, low bitterness.7/4/7/2/12=3.3

Brewskival 2017. Almost black with a tan head. Aroma and taste of chocolate, coffee, light chili and some caramel. The mouthfeel was on the light side.

Draft. Black beer with a light brown head. Chocolate and light spice aroma. Spice and chili flavor with chocolate. Medium-plus bodied. Spice and chili lingers with chocolate.

Bottle at SOT, Trondheim. Pours a dark brown to black colour with a small light beige head. Sweet and roasted aroma of coffee mocha, dark chocolate, lactose, brown sugar and some alcohol. More roasted flavour with ash and coffee with a fast increasing chili burn. Sweet in the background. Has a silky mouth feel, medium to full body and a medium bitterness. An interesting IS but too much chili for me.

Bottle (8% abv) @ home. Black with a small light brown head. Smells cocoa, roasty, coffee, sweet. Tastes chili, peppery, roasty, chocolate, coffee. Hate the chili burn. It’s the sharp annoying kind that burn your lips and the roof of the mouth. Medium body, soft carbo. 9 4 5 1 1 score. I like the taste but can’t drink it because of the chilipeppers.

Lukt: Kaffe, bek, lakris, frukter, sjokolade.
Utseende: Sort.
Skum/kullsyre: Tynt skum, heng langs kant.
Smak: Kaffe, lakris, kirsebær, røsta malt, sjokolade og en anelse pepper avslutning.
