330ml bottle, batch 543, 8 % abv, bought at Vinmonopolet Aker Brygge. Pours an espresso head with satisfying duration. Rings of lace down the glass. Black body. Roasted cocoa and dark dough on the nose. Taste of coffee grounds and vanilla chocolate before the hot chili takes over towards the finish. Slow sipper, a bit over the top. Could not drink more beer for rating this Friday afterdoon (Tromsø 29.04.2016).

Flaske 330ml fra Vinmonopolet Tromsø - Sentrum. Batch 543. Svart.

Chili overtar skikkelig utover. Lang

0.33l bottle from #543. Not much to say on the looks here. It pours a neat black colored body, really oily and deep with a nice dark chocolate espresso brown medium sized head that slowly fades into a big island. It's almost candy fruity in the taste nose this. At least up front. Reminds me of sour candy without the sourness. There's lots of good quality rich coffee, it's strongly roasted and lots of chocolate also detected. A really fine nose indeed. Oh, it has a chili burn this. The kinda raw and stingy one with just a little heat as well. In the mouth it's thick and oily while the small bubbles comes in average quantities. Almost creamy and silky actually. Lots of chocolate milk and chocolate ice cream going on also here. The mild vegetal chili sting makes it a little more interesting. Yeah, liked this one. Well crafted, tasty and interesting. 22.03.2016

More of a (chili) kick than the Brussels version

Draft @ BBP, Norwegian brewers tap takeover.

A bit to much celli for my likings. Maybe to mild for those who adore it. Solid evening sipper.
Black as the dungeon with a fine beige head. Good intensity in the aroma. Full body and a smooth carbonation. Chocolate, mild roast, coffee and chili in the flavor.
[Enjoyed at a tasting at Dr. Jekyll’s Pub in Oslo ,Norway]

On tap at Ølfestivalen, Nærbø. It’s a black one, topped by a medium sized beige head leaving curtains. Chocolate, cocoa and spiced hints in the aroma. Roasted malts too. It’s full-bodied, nicely carbonated and with a weak and pleasant warmth. Semi-sweet flavor with some bitterness, a soft chili touch, some generic spice touch and a good dash of chocolate. Lasting chocolate finish with sweetness and some chili. A really lovely one, well worth a revisit. 151017
