Bottle at home. Aroma of grainy malt, hay, some bread, grassy notes, bittering hops. Flavour is light sweet with a long moderate to medium bitter finish. Body is medium. A very refined and flavourful bitter Pilsener, enjoyable.

Draft. Dark brown pour. Aroma has caramelised malt and some licorice. Taste of sweet caramel, licorice, malt and a little grassy bitter. No fresh hop flavor or whatsoever, which I expect in a beer with this name.

Tap at De Paas, Deg Haag. Poured a hazy dark brown with a frothy off white head and some clingy lace. The aroma is light roasty sweet malt loaf, floral hop. The flavour is moderate sweet with a dry crisp red berry fruit, light woody hop, light spice palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Small off-white head over fully hazy ochre-orange to copperish beer. Toasted, quite honeyish nose, green herbs... not much hops, OTOH. Dry, with a dry, non-sweet grain and a quite restrained dry bitterness. Then (an again honeyish) sweetness appears briefly, only to make way for a bitterish, near-metallic finish. Some yeasty esters, but these also restrained. Well-carbonated, light to medium bodied, but quite slick. Aftertaste hasn’t much more hops to offer. OK, good try. Now, next time: "Beer with A LOT MORE of Fresh Hops", yes?
