Svart farge med beige skum. Lukter mørke stenfrukter, kaffe, sjokolade. Fyldig og mye smaker. Fruktig og kaffe preger denne mest. Søt. Imperial stout er aldri feil. Noe kort avslutning.

Svart med høyt lys brunt skum. Lukter espresso, kakaobønner, mørke frukter, noe vanilje, sviske og trevirke. Fyldig. Smaker noe salt lakris, alkohol og fruktsødme. Medium lang bittersøt avslutning.

500mL bottle, pours jet black with a towering brown head that overflows the glass -- something seems wrong here. After waiting 10 minutes to let this thing temper down, the aroma brings out notes of roasted malt, burnt rubber, and light sourness. Flavour is along the same lines, with burnt roasted malt, rubber, and maybe a hint of sourness. No doubt there's an infection to this. The carbonation is way too high as well. It's not a disaster, and once you let it settle a bit, it's okay, but this is clearly off.

Bottle. Pours cloudy very dark brown with airy but stable dark tan head. Clear aroma of malt, caramel, chocolate, and nuts, with touches of yeast and lactose. Sweet onset, tasting of caramel malt and chocolate, gradually replaced by roasty and bitter, joppy notes. Lingering, roasty finish. Well-balanced and very pleasant to drink. Good stuff.

Duft av kaffe, bek, lakris og sjokolade. Tykt brunt skum, heng langs kant. Dyp mørk farge, nesten sort. Smak av bek, kaffe med en syrlig ettersmak.

Tap at Craft Clerkenwell, 08/07/13. Mid black with a thin tan covering. Nose is roast malt, chocolate, dark toffee, mineral tones, sugars, hoppy backnotes. Taste carries a big earthy mineral bite, roast malts, bitter chocolate, light smoke. Full bodied, fine carbonation, slick and oily feel, went down nicely. Decent impy.
