Non filtered, non pasteurised beer with secondary fermentation in the bottle. Wheat triple with the slightly sour yet mainly sweet touch of wheat malt. Full-mouthed, cloudy. With a fine, dense head like a blob of cream. The Hofelf equals pure delight.

33 cL bottle. Pours hazy yellow with a small white head. Dry yeasty and mild spiced coriander aroma. Smooth caramel and light wheaty flavoured with a nice mellow yeasty note. Dry and phenolic finish. Nice one.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Best by 2010. Huge fluggy whitee head and a hazy golden body. Aroma of sweet malts, spices and bread. Taste is sweet, malty and some spices. Creamy mouthfeel and light bubbles.

Test vom 15.10.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 11,8,9,8,9,8 - 8,50

Bottled (BB 01/2010)
Hazy orange color, small steady white head. Light fruity-hoppy, spicey and a bit sweet aroma. Crisp carbonation. Fruity, grainy-yeasty flavor. Wheat is present, flavor also has citrus and coriander. Finish has alcohol and bitter hops. Quite balanced. Crossover of tripel and witbier, but character is more like the first one. Seems a bit underrated in Ratebeer (average 3.07/24), many raters seem to had an infected sample.

Bottled. Cloudy beige color, short head. Aroma of pineapple, yeasty, some medicine. Pineapple taste, bit sweet, yeasty, some pear. Reminded me of a strange belgian white also.

Bottled. Hazy yellow colour with some yeast floating around, mediumsized white head, which leaves some lace. Aroma is citrusfruits, wheat and miild acidicness. Also some mild notes of earth and yeast. Flavour is fruity, slightly spicy and yeasty. Finish turns quite fruity and grassy hoppy. Kind of boosted witbier or something.

Hazy blond beer. Aroma of perfumy malt, coriander, flowers. Dry mouthfeel, dry malt taste, perfumy, spicy, very good. Correct bitterness, but the final is not interesting as the aroma and flavor. A good Belgian Ale.
