Dit bier is in het voorjaar van 2014 als derde loot van onze seizoensbieren op de markt gekomen. ReuZ Lentebock of meibock is oorspronkelijk een Duitse bierstijl dat vooral in het voorjaar veel wordt gedronken. Tijdens dit seizoen bloeit er nieuw leven in de natuur.

De ReuZ Lentebock vertegenwoordigt het voorjaar met een mooie moutige en bloemige geur en smaak. Het bier kent met zijn 5,5% de doordrinkbaarheid van een pils. Dankzij de ondergist komen de mouten en hoppen extra goed naar voren.

Dit bier won een gouden medaille op de Dutch Beer Challenge in 2016 als beste Lentebock van Nederland. Op de World Beer Award (WBA 2016) in het Verenigd Koninkrijk werd de titel ‘country’s best’ binnen gesleept. Een bier dus waarvan je er in het voorjaar zeker meer van drinkt dan eentje, of het nu thuis is of op het terras.

Bottle at De Paas. Slight hazy golden with white head. Lettuce, lots of herbs, caramel, grass, syrup, light green leaves, red apple, peach candies. Quite sweet with herbal bitterness. Medium bodied with slick feel.

Bottle shared at De Paas. Clear amber with a white head. Aroma of light fruits, malt, caramel, yeasty notes and light cardboard. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle at De Paas after Kaapse 2nd Anniversary. Almost clear amber with big white head. Dusty malty cardboardy toasted caramel malts. Bit vegetal. Under medium sweet, mild bitter. Under medium body, bit watery, light chalky. Average carbonation.

Bottle 330ml. [ As Reuzenbieren ReuZ Lentebock ].ABV: 6.3%. Unclear medium yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, bread, fruity malt, sweet malt. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, fruity malt, bread, pale malt, sweet malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20160109]

Bottle. Frothy White good mostly lasting head. Yellow colour. Moderate malty and hoppy aroma. Moderate bitter flavor. Average moderate bitter finish. Oily palate.

Bottle @ my place. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are bread, malt, grain, fruits and hops.
