A meticulously curated blend of the best of what our barrel room holds. Kentucky Brunch takes time and care to mature, and those that take the time and care in pouring the beer will experience the development of a delayed-release, mocha hued head. Intense aromatics of espresso and maple syrup lead into bourbon drenched maple candy and chocolate brownies on the palate. The culmination of everything one would want on a chilly morning.

TG TTO @ M&F, pre-MBCC-2025. A lot of maple syrup and coffee, some American oak. Taste is along the same lines, very heavy and sweet. Good, but it's one dimensional and definitely overrated , lol.

Thick, boozy, oily. Massive maple, bourbon, coffee. Smooth and rich, fantastic.

Vertical with 2020. A lot smoother and slightly sweeter than 2020, thicc body with loads of roastiness, maple syrup, vanilla, barrel and hints of coffee, licorice and chocolate. Feels more balanced than 2020. Great stuff. Even better when blended w/ 2020

Maple and a bit of green paprika on the nose. Mildly sweet, oily. Coffee, maple, bourbon, chocolate, malty. Smooth and rich, maybe at the latter parts of its lifetime but still excellent.

Vertical with 2024. Intense coffee and maple syrup notes, some chocolate, sweetness, cocoa, hints of bourbon and peppery old coffee. Quite massive and complex, roasty OMT base with loads of pastry notes. Nice, but I prefer the 2024 vintage.

Finally managed to try this. What better way than to sample this beer than within a vertical: 2018, 2020, 2021, 2023, 2024, and Brewers Reserve 2024 (Apple Brandy BA). On tap at Toppling Goliath, all pour jet black with almost no head. 2018Aroma has rich bourbon barrels, vanilla, oak, and vanilla. Flavour is very rich, with tons of coffee, rich bourbon, some vanilla, and dark sugars. Lovely mix of coffee and bourbon. World-class? Yeah, but there are better BA impies. 9 4 9 4 17 2020Aroma has richer dark coffee and molasses than the 2018, with bourbon, dark sugars, and rich coffee. Flavour is very rich, with coffee, maple syrup, bourbon and dark sugars. Rich and syrupy. I liked 2018 more. 9 4 8 4 17 2021Aroma is heavier on the coffee, with bourbon barrels, and rich sugars. Flavour is very rich, with intense coffee, bourbon, maple syrup, and intense sugars. As with the previous verticals, this is tasty and refined but far from the best BA impie out there. 9 4 8 4 17 2022Aroma has a smokier bourbon character than previous verticals, with dark coffee and plenty of sugars. Flavour is super rich, with lots of lightly smoky bourbon, rich coffee, and dark sugars. This is quite a bit more complex than the previous verticals. Wonderful. 9 4 9 4 18 2023Aroma is full of coffee, bourbon barrels, some vanillin, and sugars. Flavour is rich, with lots of bourbon, dark coffee, maple syrup, and sugars. Rich bourbon, coffee and maple syrupy on the finish in good cohesion. 9 4 9 4 17 2024Aroma has plenty of bourbon, light smokiness, dark roast coffee, and gentle maple syrup. Flavour is very rich, with intense bourbon barrels, maple syrup, rich coffee, and some vanillin. Rich coffee and bourbon, much more syrupy than the previous verticals but also perhaps more complex, other than the 2022. Wonderful. 9 4 9 4 18 Ill put the Brewers Reserve rating in its own listing. Overall, is it worth the hype? Nothing this hyped ever is. Its definitely a big decadent treat, but its far from the best BA impie out there.

Bottle after MBCC 2024. Black colour, malty aroma with wood barrel. Clear coffee and wood in the taste as well, really nice!
