Bottle shared by otakuden @ hopscotch’s VBN-DCTD. Pours hazy golden color with white head. Fruity aroma with Belgian yeast. Lightly sweet fruity and doughy flavor. Light to medium body with champagne-like carbonation. Very crisp with a dry finish.

15cl sample from 75cl bottle at 3rd Brugs BF. Hazy golden yellow colour, white head. Aroma of the typical Malheur flowery/yeasty smell, fruity, some sweets and lemon. Flavour is sweeter than the Cuvee Royale, fruity, floral, dry, hoppy bitter finish with some sweetness. Medium bodied. Rather nice.

"Drink by 31 August 2010" on the bottle. Fresh, fruity aroma, citrus hops, pine, Flavor of citrus and melon, light pilsner malts, honey. Very lemony. Sweet, yet alcohol, bitter, and tart balance it perfectly. Spritzy champagne-like palate. Light and bubbly. Great beer. Classy and fun. Not twice as good as some others that are half its price, but great.

750 ml bottle from Liquid Solutions; Best Before 30/06/2008. Lightly hazy yellow with a huge (3 fingers) pale yellow head that lasted a long time and laced keavily. Nose of yeast, light tartness, corriander, and golden raisins. Flavor is a touch of lemon, lots of yeast, a touch of honey and bubblegum without any really noticeable alcohol. My Rating #2500! Not really worth the $27.99 plus shipping!

Flaske 0,75. KI=6

Compact dark green 750ml bottle topped by a cork and a wire cradle. Pours a dense, white head slowly reduced to a few patches on the surface. Pale golden body. Aroma of late fruits and sweet spices. Sweet fruity dryness in flavour married with candy sugar, wheat and subdued notes of yeast. Dry bitter endnotes. Almost full bodied. Just the perfect choice for an aperitif to our party on Midsummer Eve at Finns in Tromsø (23.06.2009).

Big coarse white head doesn’t last. Hazy yellow body with floaties. Fruity mango and Belgian yeast aroma with metallic grassy peppery notes. Intense tropical fruity (mango, banana and honey melon) taste with peppery grassy alcohol notes. Light, delicate palate. Mild mouthfeel with alcohol heat. Dryish herbal grassy aftertaste with metallic hoppy notes. Excellent! Light, drinkable, not too sweet. (0.75l bottle, wine monopoly.)

15/03 A 0.75 l bottle from beershop.hr, shared with Doggythedog. As we’ve expected, the cork flew off violently. It poured murky yellow body with some yeast particles floating inside. Big head for sure, but, similar to a champagne, it didn’t live too long. Pretty strange aroma, a bit vinous and slightly malty, with yeast completely missing. Flavor is fuller, pleasantly sweet fruity with hops adding just an impulse of bitterness to fill it up. Longer, tingling sweetish finish. Nothing so special as it may sound and can’t compete to Dark Brut, but it’s a good beer.

750 ml "champagne" bottle, from Vinmonopolet (bestillingsutvalget). ABV is 11%. Pale yellow colour, slightly hazy, big white head. The aroma is yeasty and spicy, hints of fermenting fruits and horse blanket - good, but not as great as I expected. The flavour is moderately sweet, certainly not "brut", notes of white candi sugar and spices, with noticeable alcohol. Moderate hops. Again: good, but I hoped for more complexity. Probably worth the price in Belgium, but not in Norway (NOK 219).
