bottle from Tesco Shaftesbury (the only local ale they had! - but what did I expect?). Chestnut colour, small fizzy head. Intensive malty nose with a hoppy touch. Very faint citrusy hop flavours are present. Bitter hops are detectable throughout. Bitter-sweet.

@ City Arms, Wells. Golden-amber. Loose head. Raspberry and apple fruitiness on the nose - a mix of yeast and subtle hopping. Some slightly sticky toffeeish malts with a tiny bit of toastiness, fruitiness and light orchard fruit hops over top.

500ml Bottle from Tesco. Deep amber colour with no head and slight carbonation. Aroma had plenty of caramel malt with a touch of red fruit. Easy drinking with plenty of caramel flavour and a decent dry finish, with a hint of smoke. Good.
