A darker premium bitter, well-hopped but with a smooth mouthfeel. A complex balance of malts gives a well-rounded flavour.

50 cl bottle @ Utsjoki, BBE 04/2014 Aroma has vegetables, pea soup, metal, some toffee and caramel malt. Flavour has vegetables, ashy notes, some caramel and toffee. Dry finish with some harsh malt and ash. Laitila(!) house flavour is quite strong here – most likely a bit contaminated. Not completely ruined though.

Bottle from Oddbins London Bridge. I’ve just heard the phrase "my father would have killed for a rectum of a horse." which puts everything into context doesn’t it? Dark brown beer with a lasting thick dark beige head. This is a very good best bitter. Brilliant malts, great peppery hop on the end. This is really good. A very good best bitter.
