A velvety dark, exceptionally smooth and creamy stout with soft treacle flavours and a full body. Not as strong as some traditional stouts, but lacking none of their taste.

Cask at CASK Brighton. It pours very dark brown, with a thick beige head. The nose is smoke, roasted malt, coffee and ginger. The taste is roasted malt, charcoal, very bitter, burnt notes, coffee and smoke with a bitter-dry finish. Medium body, soft carbonation and slightly creamy mouth-feel. A solid stout.

BCA part of a Christmas present from my dad was a selection of Thornbridge Hall beers, had this last night 01-01-07 and what a New Years Day treat this was. Poured dark with a huge creamy head, super chocolatey aroma’s from this rich creamy and smooth stout. This was very easy drinking and wonderfully tasty with the rich chocolate coming back through and at just 4.1% it really punhces above it’s weight, absolutely smashing beer.
