Bottle at The Royal Hotel, Bideford. It pours clear deep red with a thick off-white head. The aroma is sweet, tangy citrus, orange marmalade, oink grapefruit, bit of toffee, jam and sponge cake. The taste is dry, bitter - sweet, touch metallic, jammy fruits, bready, Victoria sponge cake and pithy blood orange with a soft finish. Medium body and fine - moderate carbonation. Could be done with being a touch more bitter if anything. Fine enough.

Bottle that Jim shared - cheers! Amber-brown with a large cream-coloured head and a middling fizz. Unpleasant initially with a metallic earthy aroma and taste. Then got a bit better with some toffee, bread and berries. Just another average supermarket bitter really.

Bottle @ home. Clear dark amber to purple color, medium sized off-white to beige head. Smell and taste malts, hops, light caramel and toffee with a decent hoppy bitter finish. Decent to medium body, decent carbonation. Quite ok.

Bottle at home in Hackney - sourced from Ocado. Pours clear amber-brown with a sturdy, foamy tan head. Light oxidation in the nose, brown bread, light toffee, berries. Medium sweet flavour with more bready malts, toffee, grapes, raisins, mild bitterness. Light bodied with average carbonation. Sweet finish, with notes of toasted sugar, more brown bread, toffee, minimal hop expression, further toffee, slight earth. Very basic beer.
