Pours foamy with a dark brown body, some translucency but not much. Smells of brown Belgian fusel malt with a hint of yeast. Flavour is malty sweetness with nothing on the back end. Medium finish. Rather okay and uninteresting.

Bottle from Asda. Deep chestnut in colour, with a thin, off-white, head and touch of carbonation. Malty beer with some leafy hops, caramel, red berries and orange peel, leading to a moderately bitter finish. Fine.

Bottle from Tesco. Dark amber with instant airy head, fades to skin. Papery, malty aroma. Taste is more of the malts, initial sharp bite turns dry and dies on the palate.

Bottle at The Royal Hotel, Bideford. It pours clear deep red with a thick off-white head. The aroma is sweet, tangy citrus, orange marmalade, oink grapefruit, bit of toffee, jam and sponge cake. The taste is dry, bitter - sweet, touch metallic, jammy fruits, bready, Victoria sponge cake and pithy blood orange with a soft finish. Medium body and fine - moderate carbonation. Could be done with being a touch more bitter if anything. Fine enough.
