Skilfully built from citrus Target, spicy Challenger and earthy Fuggle hops, our porter is a voyage of vanilla sweetness and bitter chocolate.

GBBF Day 1. Cask. Clear deep amber beer, small pale tan head. Palate is light and dry. Not much carbonation. Mild dark malts with a little powdery dark chocolate. Touch of dark fruits. Light finish. Bit thin but it tastes okay.

Cask at GBBF 2014. It pours deep brown with a small beige head. The nose is toasty, cocoa, dirt, earth, roast, coffee and some meatiness. The taste is softy, roast, mild acidity, coffee, toast, cocoa and wood with a dry finish. Light-medium body and low carbonation. Ok...

Hand-pulled pint in The Cock Hotel Wellington, Shropshire on 21st June 2014. Clear mahogany body with a full beige head. Malty aroma and taste, vanilla and sweet throughout: I liked it. Don’t see enough Porters about, so if you get the chance to try this please do. Smooth, full bodied and very drinkable.

Bottle. Dark brown with a modest beige head. Aroma of light roast, chocolate, caramel, heaps of vanilla. Lightish bodied. Rather sweet - almost ice-cream syrup like - with a drying, moderately bitter finish. Chocolate, roasted barley, vanilla.

Bottle @ home. Dark brown color, decent sized beige head that leaves fair lacing. Don’t get a lot of aroma. Taste is malts, caramel, lightly earthy, a bit dry, a hint of chocolate and roastyness. Good porter flavors, but I feel the aroma is a bit faint. Nice beer though. Quite enjoyable.
