Derail is a traditional hoppy IPA brewed from Admiral, Cascade and Chinook hops and we ask that when you enjoy a glass you raise it to Bristol’s forgotten hero, John Chiddy.

Bottle, 5.2%. Weak spicy hop aroma. Clear copper colour. Small stable off-white head. The flavour has a very spicy aroma hop, probably noble hops. Good bitterness to balance. Nice mouthfeel, but no more than is to be expected considering the ABV.

Bottle. Pours clear amber wit airy but stable off-white head. Clear aroma of malt and yeast, with mild fruity notes and touches of hops. Bitter, hoppy flavour with notes of yeast and sweetish, malty touches. Bitter aftertaste with estery notes. Well, more of a Bitter, indeed, although quite aromatic. Reasonable.

19-05-18 // bottle from local LIDL. Clear amber golden. White head. Mild sweet hoppy nose. Taste is dry bitter, malty backbone. Minimla floral fruit. India Pale Ale on the bottle but I share the classification as a ESB.

500ml bottle from Lidl. Pours clear amber with a cream coloured head. Aroma: malty, bread, floral. Taste: light to moderate sweet & bitter, caramel malts, toffee, peach, orange, grass. Light to medium body, soft carb, dry bitter finish. Bottle suggests it’s an IPA, but then again GK IPA is a misnomer also

Bottle, 0.50l. Aroma of wheat, tropical fruit, stone fruit, caramel and flowers. Pours clear amber color with medium soapy off-white head and sparkling appearance. Taste starts with medium sweet toasted malt and mild fruity notes, following is grassy and slightly medicinal, mouthfeel is smooth, while finish is moderate bitter. Medium body, oily texture and average carbonation in palate. Beer with typical English characteristics...

(bottle) Clear, deep golden to amber colour with a slightly off-white mid-sized frothy head. Fruity and delicately biscuity malty aroma with shades of toffee and a touch of floral and slightly woody hops. Mildly sweet and bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a soft, almost a bit tame carbonation. Slightly biscuity cara-malty taste with present fruity and slightly resiny and woody hoppy accents; balanced sweet-bitter finish with complex hoppy notes. Good. 01.VIII.17

0,5 l bottle, 0,99 € at Lidl Germany. Pours out clear pale copper with a mighty frothy head. Looks really good. Restrained british hopy smell. Taste starts also british hopy. Dry malt, pleasant long lasting bitterness, less floral. Hints of citrus in the background. Really a nice shot. Never expected this at Lidl.
