It’s been a minute … but 75 Minute IPA is back! What began as a cask-conditioned ale at our Rehoboth brewpub back in 2011, quickly grew to become a cult-favorite amongst craft enthusiasts. From the groucho glasses that adorned the label to it’s slightly dry and lingering bitterness, 75 Minute was (and is) beloved by many.

Now in our latest iteration, this classic IPA is again brewed with maple syrup from Sam’s family farm in Massachusetts, while being continually hopped throughout the boil, and then dry-hopped with a slew of cascade hops. The result is a malty and earthy brew with citrusy-pine aromas, balanced by subtle maple notes.

Hazy deep orange pour with a decent mostly white head. Aroma of citrus hops, caramel, malt. The flavor is fully bitter with a solid malt support. Not any better or worse than their 90 minute, just a different shaped bottle with a different label and a higher price tag.

Bottle, 75cl. An unclear, golden-orange beer with a dense, off-white head of moderate size. Peaches and orther tropical fruits in the aroma. Oranges, pale malts and hints of pine cones. Full body, semi-dry, with a pleasant carbonation. Some sweetness in the flavor, with canned tropical fruits. Lasting finish with a tad too much sweetness, Well, definitely not a bad one, but too one dimensional, and rather simple, In a way. 130811

Hazy amber beer, big fluffy white head. Smooth palate with fine carbonation. Creamy malt, quite sweet. The hops are surprisingly muted for Dogfish Head. The malt develops some caramel and the hops are smooth pine. Overall light and piney, really not what I expected!

Clear amber colour, white head. Hoppy aroma, passion fruit, fruity apricot, malts, syrup, bread, toast, cookies, coffee and mocha. Bitter flavour, coffee, light toast, honey and cooky dough. Lingering bitter flavour, coffee, a hint of citrus peel. Pitty there is no way of telling how old this bottle is, since it lacks a Best Before date.

15/VII/13 - 75cl bottle @ home - BB: n/a (2013-641) Thanks to Guang for the bottle!

Clear dark orange to light amber beer, big creamy irregular head, pretty stable, little adhesive. Aroma: lots of caramel, bit sweet, dusty, sugary, dried fruits, cookies. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: bitter start, little malty, caramel, sugary. Aftertaste: toast, mocha, hoppy, vanilla, bitter, orange peel. I'm afraid this one isn't so fresh any more. Too bad.

14.07.2013, 0,75l bottle @ home:
Big creamy longlasting head. Aroma is slightly harsh grassy, light malts, bark, hops, cellar, soil, wet grain, sap, weeds. Taste is harsh and slightly sweet, bark, cardboard, wet grain, soil, sap. weeds, grass, light malts. Medium bitterness, dry mouthfeel. Even though the bottle is from 2012 and has probably faded a lot, I don’t think this is a beer for me.
