It’s been a minute … but 75 Minute IPA is back! What began as a cask-conditioned ale at our Rehoboth brewpub back in 2011, quickly grew to become a cult-favorite amongst craft enthusiasts. From the groucho glasses that adorned the label to it’s slightly dry and lingering bitterness, 75 Minute was (and is) beloved by many.

Now in our latest iteration, this classic IPA is again brewed with maple syrup from Sam’s family farm in Massachusetts, while being continually hopped throughout the boil, and then dry-hopped with a slew of cascade hops. The result is a malty and earthy brew with citrusy-pine aromas, balanced by subtle maple notes.

In truth, when I read the label I was seriously worried that this would have too much of the maple syrup sweetness in it, but it really doesn’t, if anything its tough to distinguish between the hops. Maybe it just provides some boost to the malts that are no match for how hoppy and bitter this one is. Nice addition to the range.

750ml bottle split with Anndiesel. Unfiltered orange-tan body. Massive frothy off-white/beige head. A real solid beer, the maple certainly adds some dimension. World Class palate, flavor. Sweet, full bodied, comes off stronger than the ABV would suggest. Has a creamy malt profile that reminds me of Bierre du Corsaire

On cask @ Rattle N Hum. This is a light murky deep dark orange one with a small bubbly almost translucent top. Lovely sweet nose, some fruity malty tones, lost of peaches, even a little bit of chocolate. Oh my this is tasty. So fresh and casky, it has a gunpowder flavor, Stillwater, ripe berries almost fermented and a lovely hoppy bitterness. The cask has just eaten this beer alive. Amazingly flavorful and wonderfully tasty. A true experience. 13 06.2013

Bottle at Deans Winter Shelter Tasting. Poured a hazy medium amber with a thin white head. The aroma is grass hop. The flavour is medium to strong bitter with a hoppy woody smooth palate. I wished I had time to say more. A super IPA.

Rating from March 2013....Bottle...Wow, my two favorite IPA’s blended....so by default does this become my favorite?.....Pours a perfect copper with a fluffy off-white head...the lacing sticks immediately after the foam settles...I’m having a little trouble finding the maple syrup at first, shows up a tad mid-palate, then the hops take over and finish...not upset by any means...this beer is perfect in my eyes and mouth!

750 ml bottle purchased at Total Wine in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The pour is a hazed orange golden copper with a well formed 2 inch off white head that falls slow with nice lace. The aroma is citrus with some grain sweetness and then finishes with a bit of bitter citrus peel. The taste is initially harsh grass dry floral hop along with some of the citrus peel bitterness of the nose. The beer then opens up towards the maple syrup malt grain sweetness. The palate is medium bodied, active carbonation and a dry earth lightly bitter and sweet finish. Interesting enough.

Cask at the Brewpub, Rehoboth Beach. Pours cloudy amber orange with a creamy tan head. Aroma of grapefruit, citrus, tropical fruits, caramel malt, peach, toffee, pine. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter. Full bodied with soft carbonation. Lovely stuff!
