An easy drinking and refreshing IPA. Fresh dry hop, herbal character is provided by the mix of Challenger and First Gold hops. The use of crystal malt in the grist gives a satisfying toffee/caramel note and the addition of a little black malt adds just enough astringency to give a clean, dry finish.

Amber with a small white head. Weak malty aroma with a hint of butter. Thin and dry watery malt flavour with the slightest hint of hops in the finish

[Cask at The Crown, Sheringham] Amber, slight white head. Snooth mouthfeel, possibly a little too cloying for a session bitter by the end. Fruity with some sulphur. Heaps better than the bland "Smooth" keg variant, but still pretty forgettable.

Cask@Beer Hunters. Clear amber color, steady off-white head. Metallic, English hoppy nose. A bit thin mouthfeel - but this is of course only 3.6 % ... nutty hoppy. Light bitterish bite, nutty hops. Lacks on the malt side. Boring but not as hopeless as 2.47 on RB indicates.

On cask at the Waggon and Horses in Newmarket. A step above the bottled version. Decent enough hops, just nothing special.

Clear copper colour, medium white head. Aroma of fruity malts. Flavour has some vegetable hops. Watery. Light bodied.

From cask at Charlies. Pours clear and golden orange with a lacing white head. Mild fruity hops and malt aroma. Flavour is dry and bitter with a distinct dry malt base and a mild fruity accent. Dry and bitter. Ends this way with a mild classic pilsner bitterness.

Cask-conditioned at the Llandogger Trow, Bristol. Amber coloured with moderate white head. Slight caramel aroma followed by hints of fruit in the flavour. Inoffensive, but there are vastly superior session bitters around.

Cask at The Horseshoe Inn, Southwark. Couldnโt get much aroma. Maybe citrus. Deep amber color with orange hilites. A sour hint of grapefruit, puckerish, malt is present, but doesnโt last the finish, which is a bit woody and definitely bitter. Very nice.

Casked. Dark amberish brown colour, small white head, which lasts for a good while. Malts and some grass in aroma. Flavour is a bit better with some bitterish notes added to the malts and grass. A rather thin beer.

Cask at The Golden Farmer, Bracknell. Nothing special about this one - brown with a white head; malty aroma; thin reasonably balanced taste with a short bitter aftertaste.
