Amber Farmhouse ale
This deep amber hued ale takes it's inspiration from Germany while still nodding to the Belgian farmhouse tradition. The base is comprised of German two-row wheat, Cara-Munich, and roasted barley. Generously hopped with a blend of Perle, Spalt, and Hallertau Mittelfrüh, and fermented with a rustic Belgian farmhouse ale yeast. These elements together provide a melange of earth and fruit aromas backed with hints of caramel and a dry clean finish.

Pours deep, hazy mahogany into a tulip. Off-white conglomerate head with good retention pancakes and recedes leaving spots. Sweet summer spice aromas. Dry with upfront smoked prune and raisins and a lasting dusty leaf and caramel finish.

750 ml bottle. Amber body with a dense, light beige head. Aroma is mild malty, caramel, spicy and a bit fruity with a hint of roast. Flavor is like expected from aroma, relatively mild and almost subdue complex. Feels soft and mild, still impressive and the alcohol is well hidden. American style saison.

Bottle, 75cl, at Patricks. It’s an unclear, golden-orange beer with a dense, off-white head. Sugary, fruity nose with a pleasant tropical fruit touch. Slightly sugary flavor, but with enough bitterness, fruits and pale malts to make it balanced. Some cellary hints as well. A really nice American style saison. 110331

Bottle. Mahogony beer with a tan head. Malt and earth aroma with caramel, light fruit, and light yeast. Caramel and malt flavor with hay, yeast, light spice, and light summer fruit. Medium bodied. Caramel and light spice lingers with light earth, light yeast, and light fruit.

Funky wild and sour apple and currant aroma. Hazy ochre, thick billowy yellow head. Sour cherry, candi sugar, flavor. Fig and vanilla finish. A little hot in the finish, but welcome. Well rounded, multi-dimensional, and exceptionally well made. This brewery is on fire right now!

Alvinne Craft Beer Festival (ACBF) 2011, De Kasteelhoeve, Doorniksesteenweg 314, Outrijve (Avelgem), Belgium.Unclear medium amber color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, fruity, wood. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration, yeasty, wood, fruity. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110304]

On tap. Slightly hazy reddish amber with an off-white head. The nose has brown sugars and spices and a little yeast. Medium body, dry fruitiness - dry fruits as well - and again a little yeast. Dry and somewhat hoppy finish. Very well balanced, refined and sophisticated. 140311
