Hazy orange, small creamy head. Aroma is sweetish: banana, orange peel, yeast and hints of alcohol. Full-bodied, sweet. Sweet sugary malt flavor. This is like heavier version of East European strong lager. Well-balanced. Hints of dry grassy hops in the finish. High ABV is not aggressive here. Enjoyable dessert brew from tSmisje -series.

A hazy orange beer with a huge off-white head. The aroma is sweet spicy with clear notes of pumpkin. The flavor is very sweet, but not too much, with notes of fruit, pumpkin, and spices, while the body is quite powerful.

Pale with orangey shine, nose sweet, banana-like. taste surprisingly bitter, as from roasted malts, liquorice very outspoken. Vegetable impression also, but not really reminding of pumpkin. Slight oxidation in example. Alcoholimpression, rather thin palate; aftertaste slightly sweet. NEW TASTING from the Mater plant Huge, transparent-fluffy head, fed by very furious to lively carbonation in clear golden beer with a pink shine. Smoked nose, delicately fumed but reverting to faint wry fruitaroma. Terrible, overpowering liquorice flavour, chasing some fleeting smoked and fruity hints. Scorched sugars, burning throatfeel. The creamy head tastes smoked, the beer scorched - and sadly ruined. I’ll keep the marks for the Assebroek version...
