Tasting at the ever gracious ChrisO’s. Lightly hazy amber beer, good cream coloured head. Palate is airy with light fine carbonation. Tangy toffee malts, slightly oxidised. Tangy dried fruits. Light semi dry finish. Tangy! Too much so!

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein dunkel rötlichbraunes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch fruchtig malzig, sehr hopfig. Geschmack leicht hopfig, fruchtig malzig, exotische Früchte.

@ Winterbierfestival Gouda: Dark brown with red hue, bubbly head. Yeasty, roasted malts, some funk, light fruity notes. Sweet with roasted bitter. Mediujm bodied, bit dry, average carbonation. Not impressed.

Deep red colour with lasting head. Full on malty flavour. Some caramel. Some light hop bitterness. Rather British in style.

Tap @ In de Wildeman. Dark brown colour, tan head. Nose is toasted malts and caramel, light hoppy. Flavour is lihgt roasted malts, hint of chocolate, slight hop-bitterness. Good drinkable. Finish slightly bitter and short.

Perhaps best described as Brown IPA. Malty beer, with a taste of fresh fruity hops. Nice.

Bottle from my dealer, ABC Beers, Den Haag :-) Poured a clear dark reddish brown with a frothy light tan head. The aroma is rich red berry fruit with some yeast, caramel and nuts. The flavour is medium bitter, with a nice smooth fruit and nut palate and a weak bitter finish. An IPA ? I don’t think so, but a decent, well balanced, refreshing beer all the same.
