2004 bottle. Pours a light mahogany to cherry red with some light tan/browns. Light beige/cream colored head. Aroma is highly fruity and hoppy. Lots of cherry notes from the fruity yeast and hints of light hops. Slightly nutty notes in there as well. Flavor is moderately bitter, quite dry and has more of an earthy dry hops appeal. Not finding much malt, don’t find any touch of chocolate or sweet caramel. Lightly toasted malt of some sort. A bit of thinning, medium bodied. A bit of a sour finish along with the bitterness. Seems like an everyday amber ale to me.

On cask at the Great Lost Bear
Brownish-amber colour. Slightly spicy (nutmeg) aroma with hints of sour milk and nuts. Toasty, milky (I think this is a by-product of their mutated Ringwood yeast because it appeared in other Geary's I sampled later), with some earthy hops. Finishes earthy.
