Perfect for any summer day, Samuel Adams® Porch Rocker was inspired by traditional Bavarian Radlers that mix beer with German-style lemonade. For our bright and citrusy Radler, we blended a Helles beer with lemon for a fresh-squeezed lemon taste, effervescent sweetness, and slightly tart, refreshing finish. A light malt character and hint of hops balance out this summer brew.

Bottle, best before November 2016, drunk 7/23/16, compliments of TJ.
Thin, white head quickly recedes to a ring atop a clear, light golden-hay colored body.
Lemonade and light grain with some pepper and floral notes don’t smell particularly off-putting or fake, those there’s a touch of raw sugar, which I guess is the lemonade. But it’s not soapy or anything like that.
In the mouth, it’s sweeter than it should be, with raw sugar and honey-like maltiness, light floral and spice notes and a lot of lemonade. The lemonade tastes like lemonade, at least, not soap and corn syrup and artificial notes. Fizzy carbonation, watery (as it should be) but just way too sweet. Clean, for the most part, with no alcohol.

Clear Golden, Large Head, Lots of Thin Lacing. Faint Citrus Aroma. Starts Out Slightly Sweet Finishes Lemon Sour. Sweetness and Lemon overshadows all of Beer Qualities. While I like Shandies, Radlers Taste a little different, and I’m not a real fan. Might Be OK for what it is but I’ll pass it Next time...

Given to me from the end of a party, enjoyed on a Saturday night while nursing my fractured fibula...don’t play softball! I kinda like this one, easy drinking radler, maybe a tad heavy on the lemonade but is refreshing, has a nice crisp finish. Good summer beer.

Bottle at home as I continue the radler/shandy quest so many have tried before. Fine gold pour small whitish head. Nose is fresh lemonade. Tastes of lemons, hint of malt, pine, herbal, touch of sweet nectar on finish. Accomplishes what it set out for and isn’t cloyingly sweet. I can see why folks enjoy this one of better radlers I’ve had yet

Sampled from the bottle at the Oklahoma Craft Beer Fest. Pours a near clear pale yellow with a white head that dissipates to the edges. ARoma has notes of earthy grain and bread with a touch of earthy peach. Flavor has a sweet cereal, sweet grain and a bit of sweet peach with a touch of bread and lemon in the finish

12oz bottles, consumed over the previous weekend. Poured a slightly hazy yellow-copper color with a small off-white head. Aroma was notes of sweet fruits, lemonade, light yeast, bready malts. Sweet radler. Refreshing, but not really my cup of tea. I’d probably drink this again, but only if someone handed it directly to me.
