Perfect for any summer day, Samuel Adams® Porch Rocker was inspired by traditional Bavarian Radlers that mix beer with German-style lemonade. For our bright and citrusy Radler, we blended a Helles beer with lemon for a fresh-squeezed lemon taste, effervescent sweetness, and slightly tart, refreshing finish. A light malt character and hint of hops balance out this summer brew.

Enjoyed on a hot summer day. Lemonade dominates the aroma and the flavor of this "beer". Quite refreshing really. It has been too long since I had a true German radler to know this stacks up.

Bottle: Drank out of the bottle at the campsite. Aroma was grain and citrus. Loads of lemon citrus with light grain.

12 oz bottle from the Summer Variety pack. Pours clear pale gold with a medium collapsing white head. Aroma is strong in lemonade; some grain, too. Taste is mostly sweet (sugary) with just a little tartness. Highly carbonated, medium body. Not for me--too sweet. It would be better if it was more tart.

Bottle. Pours golden with white head. Aroma is just sweet lemon. Flavour is like a lemon meringue, sweet lemon more. Sweet finish. Too sweet.

Bottle. Leinenkugel has great success with their Summer Shandy--a lemonade with beer. Sam Adams says we can make a better one. And they did.

12oz bottle. Not good in a beer way, very sweet and artificial, like you dumped a few ounces of Country Time lemonade mix in a boring, bland Sam Adams beer. Almost has apple tones, but stays firmly planted in artificial sugary lemon. This is a pretty insipid, unappealing beverage.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Rodman's, 4/20/13
Aroma: The nose is sweet and fruity, with plenty of lemon, and some yeast/grains as well
Appearance: It pours a clear golden color with a decent sized white head atop it
Flavor: The taste is sweet and lemony, a little bit of yeasty flavor, and a some tart hints as well
Palate: The body is light, it is easy to drink, but a little too watery
Overall Impression: This stuff is only mediocre, even for what it is trying to be. It felt lacking in some way. It does an alright job of being being a shandy/radler, but at the same time, it just lacked a little of what I was looking for.

Bottle. Golden beer with an off-white head. Lemon and malt aroma. Lemonade (lemon, tart, slightly sweet) flavor with malt.. Medium-light bodied. Refreshing. Sweet/tart lemon lingers with light malt.

Bottle. Pour a cloudy orange yellow with small frothy white head. The aroma is citrus and apple. Thin mouthfeel with citrus and light sourness and tart finish. Easy to drink and refreshing,a good fruit beer.
