Location: Sampled at Tap NY, 4/27/13
Aroma: The nose has (as was to be expected) a lot of blood orange, with a hint of hop
Appearance: It pours a clearish orange color with a small head and light lace
Flavor: The taste is quite sweet (like the nose) with some balancing hops as well
Palate: The body is fairly light, and this one is quite easy to drink
Overall Impression: I thought this was a solid one overall. I liked the use of Blood Orange, though maybe the beer comes out a bit too sweet, I still liked it well enough.

Approximately 2 ounce sample at the Brewery tasting room in Bay Shore, New York. The pour is mostly clear golden orange, with not much of an off white head. The aroma is huge blood orange, almost to the point of a sweet Tang aroma. The taste follows the nose, big Blood Orange fruit, along with some of the hop notes of the straight Pale Ale (mostly the citrus, which could just be more of the Blood Orange). Though this is a bit much on the fruit for me, it was certainly a fun and refreshing beer. I couldn’t certainly see sharing a growler with a group.
