Narwhal Imperial Stout is inspired by the mysterious creature that thrives in the deepest fathoms of the frigid Arctic Ocean. Rich with notes of espresso, baker’s cocoa, roasted grain and a light hint of smoke, Narwhal brims with malt complexity. Aggressive but refined with a velvety smooth body and decadent finish, Narwhal will age in the bottle for years to come.

Bottle. Black pour. Aroma of nice roasted malt, chocolate, vanilla, coffee, licorice, soft smoke and a little caramel. Taste has bitter licorice, dark chocolate, soft roasted malt, caramel, soft smoke and a bitter finish. Nice classic stuff.

Dark brown pour with a tall, fine-grained head that gives way to a tan lacing. Roasted malt, dark chocolate, roasted coffee beans, smoke, bitter hops, some resinous hops. A beautiful imperial stout.

Bottle. Color: Black, thin beige head. Aroma: Roasted malt and coffee. Taste: Roasted malt and black coffee fighting for the lead. Mocha notes, bitter cocoa, some molasses and subtle vanilla. Very nicely balanced and more complexity than most Imperial Stouts I know. Light boozy hints. Moderate to over moderate sweet and bitter, somewhat more bitterness and bitter palate at dry-ish finish. Over medium body, below average carbonation. Quite smooth. Very nice.
