Track down this pack then set it free! Whaley big amounts of flaked oats and wheat laid the base for this 7.16% Sea Spray IPA. Jammed packed with Motueka and Lemondrop hops in both the whirlpool and dry hops this one is jumping with huge lemon and lime notes. Close your eyes and whisk away to a simpler time, standing on the jetty with the sea in the air, humming...doo dooo, do do do do doo dooo..

Can pour into nonic pint glass from Andover Wine and Liquors. Appearance is cloudy, milky-orange with a few dark floaties, nice sparkle at the edge of the glass, finger-width creamy white head with fair retention and no lacing. Aroma is fruit, dank, mild citrus, malt backbone, slightly tart. Taste is light fruit competing with cracker malt, late bitter, mild citrus, a little yeasty. Palate is medium bodied with thick, smooth texture, soft-to-average carbonation with light alcohol warmth, and dry finish as taste. Overall, I suppose this is meant to be a NEIPA so the appearance is right but the aroma and taste fail to deliver a really juicy product. Some complexity but the elements don't work in harmony with each other, though the palate is velvety and gorgeous. Doesn't quite deliver.
