Bottle thanks to Randy. Pours black with white head. Nose is roasted malts and chocolate. Taste is chocolate, roasted malts, coffee and burnt barley. It is a very pleasant stout, though a little weak for an "imperial." It is very quaffable, but probably not the primary reason you’d travel to Wisconsin for beer.

On tap. Poured dark brown with a thick yellowish brown head. Aroma had strong coffee notes that definitely brought out some acidity. Flavor was very similar to the aroma and quite one note.

courtesy of googzoid10. pours dark brown, mocha head aroma, roasted malts, coffee, light chocolate with hints of bitterness. flavors, yeasty, roasted malts, coffee, hops remain mild but had a light bitter mouthfeel, some dark fruits as beer warms up, some bitter chocolate. Enjoyed this one but the hop and bitter profile was a tad too forward.

Very good but not great Imperial Stout, I’ve had better. Tasted like milk and coffee combo, smelled very milky, practically black. Nothing to write home about.

Dark brown. While cold, some metal and rare red meat flavor. As it warms, heavily roasted malt shows through, a little coffee, a little chocolate. Grain. A solid beer. A little thin on the palate.

Black with a medium beige head.Aroma was sweet with plenty of roasted malt and burned caramel. Flavour went the same wasy. Finshed sweet.

bottle at Ft Wayne tasting - Pours black with a tan head. It smells of dark roast malt and chocolate. There’s a big roast malt flavor with ample chocolate character. It’s a sweet beer with a little bitterness showing up in the finish of this full bodied brew.

Bottle from pepsican. Pours with a small khaki head that fades over an ultra dark brown body. Aroma of tar, dark chocolate, raisiny (special B), dark fruits, leather and and ash. Taste is Belgian style imperial stout with notes of chocolate, slightly metallic and vinous, and dark cherries. Slightly viscous and syrupy mouthfeel. Light carbonation.

12oz bottle. Thick chocolate black color with a big luscious tan head. Roasty chocolate coffee aroma. Mild carbonation brings out some serious Milk Stout qualitites, very lactic, smooth, creamy. There is some initial hop balance that gets taken over by the big chocolaty malt. A little syrupy, lingering chocolate aftertaste. I really enjoyed this beer a lot, imperial and yet not concerned with being an alcohol bomb.
