Bottle 22fl.oz.Light unclear medium yellow orange color with a average to large, frothy to creamy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, citrus - orange, overripped fruit, moderate alcohol. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel light alcoholic. [20100709]

cloudy yellow, smooth lacing white head. nice well balanced hoppy aroma, dry. faint malty base. Pretty nice aroma. also faint exotic fruits. flavor is dry bitter hoppy, exotic fruits, alc gives a good bite.

Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of madsberg. Pours golden with a slight haze and an off-white head. Intense aroma hops - somewhat herbal. Solid body, loads of fruit and residual sweetness. Intensely citrusy, astringent and herbal bitterness. A little much. 090710

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a huge bubbly yellowish head. The aroma has notes of citrusy and elderflower hops, combined with notes of caramel, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of citrus, hops, malt, bread, and caramel, leading to a dry bitter finish. Thanks madsberg for sharing his 1000th US beer.

RBWG 2010 growler. Pours clear dark golden color with white head. Lots of grapefruit in the aroma. Bitter grapefruit flavor with some moderate sweetness. Medium body with a resinous mouthfeel.

Bottle, home. Hazy orange-gold. Very little head. Sweetly hoppy. Lots of malt, but hops still dominate with a big wildflower aroma and pine resin and tangerines chip in a touch less. The malt contributes a background caramel sweetness. This beer finishes nice and bitter despite the sweetness. The aftertaste is very pleasant and the alcohol is nice and warming.

22 fl oz bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma is dense hops fruity, peachy and grapefruity. Sweet, dense malty and slight caramelish. Bitter yet smooth fruity. Lasting fruity impression.

Bottle from Beverages4Less in Santee. Pours amber with a three finger beige head. Hops aroma all over the place, just from the pour. Aroma is lots of hop floral/resin sort of. Medium body with smooth, creamy carbonation. Flavor is floral/resin hop over lots of smooth caramel. There’s a bit of heat. There is some oaky/woody aspect. It really tends to bite the tongue as time goes by. It’s so heavy, it’s almost hitting barley wine. Whatever, it is marvelously hoppy. This must be what happens when hop oils are placed in the mouth.

Sampled from a growler at the Pittsburgh Ratebeer gathering this beer poured a vibrant yellow-golden color with a large white head. The aroma was sweet, fruity, floral and had lingering grapefruit. The flavor was tangy and sweet with a strong grapefruit presence, moderate pine and very little else going on. No attempt at all for malt balance. Long finish and fairly full in body. Completely dominated by the hop but in a good way. Very nice.

Big thanks goes out to Beerman6686 Dan for this special brew! Had the pleasure of sampling this at the 7/9/2009 Pittsburgh RB tasting extravaganza (PGHRBEXT) at the Sharp Edge Creekhouse. It will be a long time, if ever I see a spread of bottles like I did there. I am not good enough for the beers that were that we served! For example, how about this beer; Exponential, again I am not qualified to rate this. Pale yellow lager appearance. Hoppy aroma from a distance. Taste is rudely hoppy with bitter fruit. Turpentine and handsoap with a mouth coating bad-mannered appeal. Wew, what else can be said about this brew except that if you like IIPA, you better go try this. Freshly pine sappy and tar. Not my cup of tea but hey, did I say it was on style? Long lingering bitter finish that never ends. Beerman, you ruined my taste buds!
