The Biolégère is a top fermentation beer with refermentation in the bottle.
Created in 1992, this beer was the answer of our brewery to the increasing demands coming from a large group of potential clients, wanting an organic* beer with character but low in alcohol.
This light and refreshing blond beer combines marvellous aromas, taste of malt and citrus.
The refermentation in the bottle in combination with an “adapted hopping” are resulting into a complex beer with only a small degree of alcohol.
The production is being controlled by Certisys and the beer has the label Biogarantie®.

Bottle from Drinkshop. Clear golden colour, stable white head. Quite clean spicy horsey saisony aroma. The same can be said about taste. Very clean and tasty, with clean saisony barnyardy flavours,

Bottle. Nose is very bready, yeast, fresh hops, greens, slight floral note . Very faint funk. Taste is hay, grains, leading to a steady funk, spice and pepper, some lemon character, herbal and floral hop note. Mouthfeel is light and strongly carbonated. I’m surprised by the volume of negative reviews. This is an excellent well balanced session beer. It’s too expensive and in a little bottle when exported, but finding a full glass of this over lunch on a hot Belgian day must be a delight.

Flaska från ICA Liljeholmen. Halmgul vätska med mycket tjockt skum. Pepprig, örtig doft. Påminner om sin storebror saison från Dupont. Torr, stram, törstsläckande.

Organic saison in table beer version and in that sense at least original. Rocky, mousse-like, off-white, sticky head, colour ochre with peachy hue, cloudy. Flowery aroma with sourish wheat (wheat syrup is effectively used here), yeasty, grapefruit, apricot, some soapy hops but also a faint hint of solvents. Taste a light and elegant fruitiness on top of a grainy dryness, in the end a herbal hop bitterishness, and the inevitable thin mouthfeel of a low alcohol beer. Perfect session beer excelling in lightness without becoming dull, which is far from self-evident.
