The Biolégère is a top fermentation beer with refermentation in the bottle.
Created in 1992, this beer was the answer of our brewery to the increasing demands coming from a large group of potential clients, wanting an organic* beer with character but low in alcohol.
This light and refreshing blond beer combines marvellous aromas, taste of malt and citrus.
The refermentation in the bottle in combination with an “adapted hopping” are resulting into a complex beer with only a small degree of alcohol.
The production is being controlled by Certisys and the beer has the label Biogarantie®.

Light straw with big fluffy white head. Dry grains, very nice herbs and spices with oregano, thyme, white pepper. Light lemon peel with some resin follow by a doughy taste. Light sweet with dry and spicy bitter finish. Light bodied. Pretty damn tasty for a low alcohol beer. Love it.

Bottle courtesy of rlgk. Pours slightly hazy pale golden with a small frothy white head that doesn’t leave much trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is slightly estery and slightly phenolic with crackers, butterscotch hay, dry soil, lemon zest and hints of bubblegum. Taste is tiny sweet, tiny estery and tiny phenolic with crackers, butter, lemon zest, hay and orange zest. Mouthfeel is crisp, slightly dry, watery and light bodied. Finish is tiny estery and tiny phenolic with crackers, hay and lemon zest. Bit buttery…

0,25L bottle, BB 05.2015. Pours slightly hazy straw-golden with white head. The head stays. Aroma is fruity, sweet, sour, and Belgian yeast. Taste is watery, sour, fruits, lemon, and yeast. Finish is sour and dry bitter. Overall: tastes like someone mixed water and some Belgian beer.

Many, many bottles from 2008 onwards, as "Avril"
Perfect, pale-straw appearance with tons of well-retained head.
Soft floral hops and light spiciness in the nose. Lavendar and rosewater suggestions. Just so very delicate and perfumey with nary any acidity. Wonderful esters are actually fairly reserved. Incredibly high strength of aroma for its size.
Perfect on the palate and mouth. Like licking a dollop of honey off a freshly cut piece of hay. Soft vanilla and very light bitterness. As if you even needed a more sessionable version of the Saison! But they go and make it anyways. Wow, just a knockout. And I can get this stuff for $11 for a 750mL???? Right up there with Taras Boulba and just everything that is good about beer!
