The Biolégère is a top fermentation beer with refermentation in the bottle.
Created in 1992, this beer was the answer of our brewery to the increasing demands coming from a large group of potential clients, wanting an organic* beer with character but low in alcohol.
This light and refreshing blond beer combines marvellous aromas, taste of malt and citrus.
The refermentation in the bottle in combination with an “adapted hopping” are resulting into a complex beer with only a small degree of alcohol.
The production is being controlled by Certisys and the beer has the label Biogarantie®.

750 ml corked bottle from Boise Co-op. Light and somewhat bland saison. Listed on the label as a "table beer" (mine is labeled as "Avril") this would be good for drinking with food at lunch or dinner. Pale hazy golden with thick airy head. Light lemony/citrus aroma. taste is more grassy than floral, more hay than spice, extremely lightweight all around.

Bottle. Pours golden, semi hazy with a small white head. Aroma is yeasty. peppery and flowery with a touch of honey and pilslike maltiness (sweet light bread). A bit too sweet to be perfect. Taste is crisp and slightly sour with notes of white pepper, thai basil, dill, citrus vegtables, vanilla ice cream and roses. The herbal hoppiness is quite distinct. Slightly dry finish. Very interesting folköl, packed with flavors. Ridiciolously drinkable aswell!

A light yellow, vivacious beer with a quite big and white head. The nose is quite complex, fresh and inspirating, fruits, spices, tartness, some citrusfruits. Taste is quite strongly tart, some grain with nice fruitsness, lemon. The taste is slightly short as can be imagined. Light bodied, strong carbonation, easy to drink. Quite nice and complex, strongly tart, mild Saison.

Appearance: Hazy golden color with a BIG frothy white head. Nice curtain lacing.
Aroma: Herbal and hoppy.
Palate: Medium body. Moderate sweetness, and a fine bitterness. Maybee a little bit dry. Average carbonation.
Taste: A really strange and complex flavor. Fruity, grassy, herbal and a bit acidic.
Overall impression: A really fresh and easy drinkable Saison. And especially at 3,5%!
Personal stats: Bottle at Swan and Rushes (Free) in Leicester, England.
