Bottle kindly donated by Miro, many thanks. Light copper color with medium off-white head. Malty aroma with oranges, orange zest. Taste, malt, orange, orange zest. OK.

Bottle. Aroma is metallic, stale, macro, raw grassy. Clear copper colour. Quite stable head. Taste is astringent, metallic, grassy, vomit. Makes me vomit too.

500ml bottle from beers of Europe. Pours clear amber, nice white head and lacing. Aromas are mostly sweet malts, light earthy hops. Taste is light sweet, bit thin. Not bad at all.

Bottle shared thanks to Deanso. Pours clear dark gold with an off white head. Aroma of malt, toffee, light citrus and hops. Flavour is light moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

50cl bottle from ABCBeers shared with Kermis. Thin white head. Clear golden pour. Nice malty bitterness. A good ESB

Poured a clear amber with a thick white head and medium carbonation. The aroma is weak, but with hints of malt and hops. The flavour is bitter, malty and refreshingly hopped. Itโs a classic, quality English ESB.

Pleasing orangey-amber colour. The aroma is spicy, marmaladey, with a warming fresh bread character. Medium body, toasty malts with a hint of biscuit. The hops are gentle, well-integrated and the marmaladey Bramling Cross note is a breath of fresh English air. Tasty stuff.

Brown 500ml bottle, best before 22nd Feb 08, drank Christmas Eve 2007. Poured into a Palm Special tulip glass (twice). Lighter than I thought it would be, a very clear, light amber colour with an off white head that soon clears away to leave a small collar round the glass and nothing else (on both pours). The aroma is of malts, hops and a little yeast, the label mentions a bitter orange finish but I canโt find that in the nose or the taste. Bog standard English Ale, no great flavours for me, a little too bitter if anything with the sour citrus fruits coming through more than the orange. Fairly watery for a 5.2% Ale, no high alcohol feel at all, could be mistaken for a 3.8% session beer. I drink with all my senses, this didnโt look great and the mouthfeel let it down too, not a beer I will seek out or long for.
