Scotch Ale är ingenting som är något nytt för Nils Oscar. Vi har i många år släppt Scotch Ale till vinterhalvåret i form av våra Julöl 2008 till 2012 och Winter Edition 2013-2015. Vi tycker nu att det är lite tråkigt att binda en så bred och smakrik produkt till en så pass liten del av året och vill med denna lansering av Nils Oscar Scotch Ale visa att det är en öltyp som fungerar lika bra till grillen på sommaren som den gör till julbordet på vintern.

Nils Oscar Scotch Ale är ett generöst och fylligt öl med varma nyanser av rostad malt. Ölet är vackert rödbrunt, nästan svart. I aromen märks en fin fruktighet från humlesorterna Eldorado och Fuggles.

Aroma malt kaffe mørke frukter. Utseende mørk amber med beige skum. Smak malt plomme rosin melkesjokolade humle lakris. middels fyldig fantastisk god. Flaske kjøpt på Vinmonopolet Jekta, 33cl 8,2% BF0623

Pours brown from the bottle. A tan, creamy head turns thin and lingers. A very malty aroma greets the nose, full of toffee, molasses and chocolate. Taste is sweet, full of toffee, but a dry, crisp bitterness rounds out the finish and provides the needed balance. Body is medium to full, carbonation is soft. Nice!

Where: Systembolaget.
Appearance: Dark brown colour with a tan head.
Aroma: Chocolate, malt, caramel.
Body: Medium body and carbonation.
Flavour: Caramel, some chocolate, malt.

Bottle 33 cl. Dark, nutty brown with a lacing, off-white head. Very refined aroma of nuts and wood. Rich, sweet body although you don’t really feel the alcohol al that much. Extremely soft on the pale. Delicious. Quality wise Nils Oscar is still one of Swedens best breweries - by far. So smooth and well made. 070817

At Linköping Beer Expo 2017. Dark brown with a medium head. Sweetish with malt, bread, caramel and some chocolate. The body was almost full and the carbonation kind of relaxed.

Hazed dark color with a fine thick off white head. Good lacing. Fine intensity in the aroma. Medium + body and a smooth carbonation level. Tad sweet and a decent bitterness. Bready, fruity, herbal, toffee in the flavor. Nice tasty ale.
