Refreshment, thy name is Clementine. One sip of this White Ale transports you to the shade of a mighty tree, lounging in the peace of a crisp spring afternoon. Luscious citrus flavors and Belgian spice abound in Clementine, which features additions of Sweet Orange Peel, Coriander, and Mandarina Hops. The use of a Belgian Ale yeast strain contributes a tinge of peppery flavor to this crisp summer companion.

Bottle. Interesting witbier! It’s refreshingly hoppy, and at the same time fruity (orange, banana) and also bit spicy. Well made and unique.

Bottle 65 cl. Pours a clear golden with a small white head. Yeasty nose with a friendly tangerine zest. Medium body, a very dry fruitiness, slightly tart and astringent, again fresh tangerine notes. Dry – actually very dry – finish. 230711

Skunk and coriander nose. Hazy amber, medium head. Coriander flavor, very dry. A little orange peel at midpalate. Oh so dry and begging for just a little sweetness.

A hazed blonde yellow wit with a thin white head. In aroma, classic citrus, orange, banana and cloves. In mouth, a smooth wit with more of an orangey side (the said clementines), very smooth, light clove notes, nice oily silky mouthfeel. On tap at Deep Ellum, Jan. 16 2011.

22 oz. bottle pored into a Weiss glass, head was large at first and slowed to nearly nothing. The aroma is mandarin-tangerine citrus, lemon, and fruity dough. Orange peel and the a perfume-like floral hop note come through as well. The flavor is loaded with spice- coriander, clementine orange and something else I can’t quite define. I can taste the hoppy notes. Makes this very different. As I drank it the head laced the glass nicely. Medium carbonation. A nice different summer drinker.
