Fruity, Flavourful, Sessionable. British and German malts team up with five Yakima Valley American hops to create a vibrant and fruity red ale. As lively and colourful as the people that brew it.

Beperkte kraag, Koper/amber....hoezo rood? .... --- Beer merged from original tick of Yakima Red on 25 May 2018 at 13:54 - Score: 4

Draft. Red copper pour. Aroma of caramalt and bitters. Taste is creamy, with some amber malt, caramel and bitters. Not bad.

Draught in a pub in London opposite to the Olympia. Thin but stable, off-white head, hazy reddish amber colour. Pleasant aroma of dried berries, toasted bread, hazelnuts, caramel, leather and white pepper. Subdued fruity taste, smooth and lean mouthfeel, soft carbo, malty main character, toasted and nutty, with an aromatic and lightly spicy ’hop bite’ in the end. Quaffable enough.

Clear deep copper colour, large frothy beige head, good retention and lacing. Fruity aroma, malts, light caramel, lemon grass, citrus, floral. Taste light to medium sweet and bitter, fruity and herbal notes. Light to medium body, watery to oily body, soft carbonation, light dry bittersweet aftertaste, bit malty, bit watery at the end, very nice.

Keg at The Orchard, bottle from the Co-Op, Nairn. Amber body with a thick beige head. Lively carbonation. Good lacing. Aroma of red fruits, tea and caramel. Flavour of apple with a crisp, hoppy bite. Medium body with an oily texture. Light fizz. I really enjoyed this - exactly what I look for in an Amber Ale.

Clear fox brown colour, white head. Quite fruity hoppy aroma, light caramel, malts. Light bitter flavour, light sweet caramel. Rather fizzy. Bitter finish.

5th May 2015: keg half-pint in Royal Oak somewhere in London. Red hue to the amber body, on top an off-white crown of foam. The nose had a mild malty aroma with some background earthiness. Taste, a blend of pale malts and slightly bittering hops: not as much going on as I hoped for. Not bland, but not flavoursome either.
