Draft from Waterfront Manhattan. Poured dark, some caramel and earthy notes. Not too bad, not too remarkable either.

(Tap) clear, fluorescent orange brown colour with a small cream coloured head; aroma of candied apple; intense, balanced flavour with a long, medium bitter finish; creamy palate

Pine, some black tea like Andy says. Clear mahogany pour with decent mocha head. A little rust. Light bitter end with some toffee.

Decent Black IPA. Smooth taste of hops and malt, not much else though. Bit standard.

Botella de 65 cl en el lúpulo en septiembre de 2013. Lote mm013 hasta 17-05-2014. Color negro con espuma beige. Aromas y sabores bastante especiados con un cuerpo ligero a medio de 6.5 vol con fácil paso por boca. Ligeros notas dulces y tostadas. Normal, sin muchas sorpresas.

Draft: Nearly clear, red-brown.... Woody, caramel and alcohol aroma. Taste is woody.....dry...caramel and citrus. Tasty.

Draft. Vanilla caramel malt and orange peel aroma. Dark amber with moderate head. Sweet caramel malt and orange peel flavor. Very solid.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein tiefschwarzes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch röstmalzig, hopfig fruchtig bitter. Geschmack zunächst röstmalzig nach Kaffee, dann kommen deutliche bitter Fruchtnoten zum Vorschein.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dror S.’s place. Thanks Tom L. Dark brown with a big beige head. Aroma of stale hops, a bit piney, with roastiness and a bit of chocolate. Roasty flavor, a bit sweetish, with hints of chocolate and coffee and a hoppy bitterness, kinda stale. Medium-bodied. Not fresh enough.
