Fra fat på Cardinal under Bjørnøy Rundt Triathlon okt-14: Pent beige skum over en kølsvart øl, og opp fra dette stiger en liflig blåbæraroma i elegant samspill med god sjokolade og like god kaffe. Smaken er også helt på topp, hvor den fine syren fra blåbærene er prikken over i’en. En nytelse fra første sniff til siste dråpe.

On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Pitch black colour, moderate tan head. Aroma of blueberries, chocolate, vanilla, mild coffee and moderately roasted malts. Pleasant flavour of roasted malts, coffee, dark chocolate and blueberries, a slight fruity acidity, dry finish with moderate hops. Very enjoyable.

Bottle at home. Has a pitch black colour with a medium, creamy, light brown head. Roasted and sweet aroma of coffee, ash, dark chocolate, leather and oak. Roasted malt also in the flavour along with more ash, wood and coffee beans. Has a slick and silky mouthfeel, and a medium bitterness. A well-roasted and pleasant stout, but can�t find much of the blueberries.

Lukter blåbær med en gang, men kaffe og svisker kommer mere fram etterhvert. Fyldig og lite kullsyre. Kort bitter ettersmak med noe alkoholvarme i avslutningen.

Svart med lys brunt skum. Flott blåbærlukt, kaffe og sviske. Bitre, salte og noe søtlige fruk og bærsmaker. Kort, lett bitter avslutning. lite kullsyre

0.33l bottle. This one has a nice deep dark brown looking body and only a small but lasting and elegantly lacing dark brown head. On the our it's so lovely roasted and totally unexpected fantastic shampoo-like fruity. There's just so many nice things to say about this lovely aroma. It's sweet but not to sweet in any way. Really fruity, but still relatively toasty and roasty so there's never really any doubt that it's a stout creation this. Mild vanilla and some hints of herbs in the background. Really nice! Tastes lovely also. Roasted but almost a bit like drinking a cloud. Yeah, it actually has a oil-cloudy mouthfeel this and it's soft and only prickling on the bubbles. I would not at first been able to identify the taste as blueberries, not now either to be honest, but it's definitely fruity! More like blackberries blended with currants in a way. Lots of nice sweet chocolate and even a little coffee latte here. I get the same aftertaste in the mouth that I get when I've had a good fat-milked latte. A lovely little stout this. I'll sure be picking up another bottle or two of this - if there's any left. 13.06.2014

Bottle from saveur-biere.com. Dark brown to black body, with a very thin, dark tan, creamy head, that dissipates immediately. Aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, blueberry, wood. Taste with about the same aromas. Mouthfeel is medium, oily, with a medium carbonation and it finishes roasty, wooden, with dark chocolate, coffee and a slight acidity from the blueberries. Tasty! The chocolate and coffee notes blend very well with the sweet blueberries, which appear more and more the more it warms up. Smooth and well balanced. Really enjoyable!

Botella de 33 cl en el lúpulo el 27-07-2014, en el momento. Color negro intenso con espuma beige oscuro poco persistente. Aromas de maltas tostadas con ligeros ácidos y frutos rojos del bosque con algunos tonos quemados y ahumados. Cuerpo medio con 7.5 vol correctos con cierta sensación alcohólica, paso ligero y sensación de licor. Sabores maltosos tostados, con frescos y ligeramente ácidos frutos silvestres y un toque picante que después de acabarla todavía no se de donde sale. Tonos de maderas quemadas y carbón, al final, bien combinados con cierto amargo y sensación láctica que permanece en boca por un buen rato. Buena y peculiar, seria conveniente repetir de nuevo.

Thick oily black engine oil with a beige layer. Decent first impression. Dark malt, some coffee and blueberry in my nose. Yeah I like! Solid fine body. Pleasant mild sweetness and a moderate bitterness. A bit oily texture. Well what matters most? Taste off course. Is this one ok? Yes! No worries. Lovely smooth flavor and you can easily feel the blueberry. Not to often, and it is not to dominant either. Fine balance. Also some mild coffee and chocolate. Nice and pleasant stout!
