Keg at the Arendsnest. Translucent yellow / straw coloured pour with a thin white sticky head. Aroma is fresh delicate grains, some floral hop, faint floral lemon hop. Flavour is composed of flabby doughy grains, faint lemon, tangy. Palate is semi sweet wheat doughy grains, moderate to low carbonation. OK. Light spices linger.

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, golden colour with a blond medium-sized foamy head. Biscuity malty aroma with mildly fruity notes, traces of caramel, slightly flowery hops and (Belgian) yeasty spice. Quite bitter and delicately sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a lively carbonation. Strawy and slightly biscuity malty taste with herbal and yeasty spice, as well as subtle fruity notes; dry and quite bitter hoppy finish with a shy malty backbone. 27.III.15

Belgian-style blond from one of the many new Dutch craft brewers, from tap at Arendsnest. Medium thick, moussy, snow white, strongly cobweb lacing head; colour misty golden blonde with peachy hue. Aroma of peach, orange, pineapple, caramel, honey, papaja, sugar corn, chamomille, apple sauce. Soft sweet onset, fluffy mouthfeel, smooth with impressions of peach, banana and pineapple, honeyish malt sweetness, orange fraîcheur, bready maltiness underneath, pleasant enough but fortunately fading away in a rather ’thin’ finish, florally and aromatically hoppy but not really bittering, with lingering bready malt sweetishness. Enjoyable and technically well-made, but could have been a lot hoppier for me.

Draught @ De Arendsnest, Amsterdam
Aroma has strong apricot and mild soapy tones. Feels somewhat fresh. Flavour has mild grain, some apricot and grassy hops. Also mild mineral tones. Easy-going, straightforward and slightly watery. And refreshing.
