Reminds me of bijou poured over chocolate cake with some nuttiness. Full body. Hoppy for the style. Very unique

Japanese craft beer! Sadly a little thin on the mouth but great hop kick to a malty sweetness.

33cl bottle (7%) at Hell Hunt, Tallinn. Pours hazy dark amber with a modest, off-white head. Malty aroma with notes of caramel, some mild fruity and hoppy notes and hints of pine. Moderate to medium sweet with pleasant mixture of mild hoppy flavours and malty ones. Finishes lightly bitter. Pleasant one, easy to drink and well integrated alcohol.

330 ml bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 1/8/2015. Listed as 7% on the bottle. Pours moderately hazy/cloudy deep reddish brown color with a 1 finger dense light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, caramel, brown sugar, toasted bread, light chocolate, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/piney hops and dark/bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of caramel, brown sugar, toasted bread, light chocolate/nuttiness, light citrus, pine, and herbal/floral earthiness. Light-moderate herbal/piney bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of caramel, brown sugar, toasted bread, light citrus/pine, and herbal/floral earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice robustness, complexity, and balance of dark/bready malt and citrus/earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, fairly creamy/bready, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Some light dryness from bitterness as well. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very good American brown ale style. All around good robustness, complexity, and balance of dark/bready malt and citrus/earthy hop flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.
