Röd & Blå - Det här är ett mjöd som på många sätt påminner om ett rödvin, och liksom ett sådant är det helt torrt. Hela mjödet har ett ursprung från bären. Honungen är ren bäbloms- honung, där dragen är nästan uteslutande blåbär-, lingon- och hallonblom. Blåbärsinslaget är kraftigt och representerar ungefär halva vätskemängden vilket bär med sig mörk färg och tanniner. De röda vinbären har en underordnad roll, men ger den syrlighet som får mjödet att verkligen likna rödvin.

Bottle courtesy of AndySnow. Pours deep bluish red leaving some subtle legs on the glass with a swirl. Smell is fruity and floral with floral honey, bilberries, currant, hay, minerals and lemon peal. Taste is sour, fruity and berry skin astringent. Mouthfeel is dry, tart, astringent and light bodied. Finish is sour and heavy astringent with light honey and sour berries. Bottled at En Öl och Whiskeymässa Göteborg 2016.Clear deep dark red color. Vinous, alcohol, blueberries scent. Tart, berries, a tad buttery, light spicy taste. Warming alcohol. Berries aftertaste. Medium to light, but still tart, mouthfeel. Tart dry finish.

Bottle at En Öl och Whiskeymässa Göteborg 2016 cons 2016-04-22 Göteborg - loads of thx to the brewer that brought this old gem for me/us to try out.... AR: dry wee red berries AP: blood coloured liquid, no head F: dry, warming feeling, dried lingon and blue berries mix

How: Bottle.
Where: Systembolaget.
Appearance: Dark blue colour with no head.
Aroma: Blueberries, fruit.
Body: A bit thin body, no carbonation.
Flavour: Blueberries, fruit, almost no flavour of honey. Dry.
