(Bottle, 0.5 l, at 5th Street Bar, Helsinki, 20150426) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had roasted malts, cocoa and vanilla. Palate was medium bodied with rather low carbonation. Flavours were malts, cocoa, vanilla, burnt malts, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste had cocoa, sweetness and bitterness. A decent vanilla infused dark ale.

Bottled (from K Citymarket Kivihaka, Vaasa). Rubyish brown colour with a mediumsized creamy beigeish brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, coffee, mild vanilla and some slight wooden notes to it as well. Flavour is wooden notes, mild vanillaish notes as well as some roasted and ashy notes to it. A bit thin as for the palate.

A colablack beer with a medium and beige head. The nose of coffee, roastiness and some milky sourness. Good aroma, there are also some chocolate. Taste is roastiness, nice chocolate and also clear vanilla. The end is quite dry with herbs. Quite light todrink, more strenght to the body would be needed. Good beer even too light. Good balance and vanilla is nice nuancee.

50cl bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - treacle black/brown with orange/red chinks. The head fades quickly. Nose - treacle with tobacco/liquorice notes and a dried dark fruit thing, probably prunes. Taste - more dried prunes and some earthiness. Palate - light bodied with a thin texture and the finish is a little sweeter than I’d hoped for. Overall - another one that started well but then fell off a cliff.

500ml bottle at home. Pours deep dark brown, thin beige head, doesn’t last. Aromas of prune, light vanilla. Taste is synthetic vanilla, too much. Light body, bit thin in fact. Too sweet for me.

50 cl bottle @ home, BBE 03/2016
Aroma has lots of coffee and some ashy tones – feels like pannukahvi. Flavour has coffee, ashy tones, some vanilla and distant peaty notes. Slightly watery. Odd, but I seem to like this. Reminds me of Närke Pannektarnas, but this isn’t that rich.

Bottle 500ml (K-Kamppi)
Dark brown color, small beige head. Aroma has cocoa, light vegetables. Light bodied. Cocoa/coffee, light vanilla/vanilla sugar in the finish. Light toasted and sweet flavor. Quite plain.

50cl bottle from Prisma Jumbo, Vantaa. Dark dark brown in color, thin white head. Lots of vanillin sugary notes in aroma, along with some toasted malt and unfortunately some thinner-like notes in the back. Flavor has vanilla, roasted malt and cold coffee. Short quite sweet finish with more vanilla. Watery. Not that pleasant to drink really.
